Wedding invitations

It's such an important day! Every bride has a "feeling" about what she wants. It can be a colour - that really pale pink blush on a peony flower. It can be an emotion - feminine and romatic. A style - crisp and sharp, no fuss. A place - so relaxed and "beachy" you can smell the sea. But often that "feeling" can lack form. Translating that "feeling" into the perfect invitation and stationery is the designer's job.

I like to start with just listening to the bride or the couple talk about how they see the day - the pictures in their mind, the location, the sense of occasion and formality or the relaxed lack of it. Quite often samples will be brought - of fabric, flowers, other invitations, a page from a magazine with a pattern on it. Everything is given it's importance.

So then to the design - that almost alchemical process of taking in the raw materials and distilling something magical.

Working to fine tune the design is like putting the final touches to the dress - it's done with care, and down to the finest detail. And only then can the various other elements that make up the package be completed - RSVP cards, placecards, menu cards, thank you cards, gift tags. Each occasion is unique, so each set of requirements is tailored to suit.
